💩 Stage 112: The worst bike in cycling history
favourite products of pro mechanics and the Belgian Waffle Ride
Welcome to this week’s newsletter,
I’m back in the UK this week after a weekend in Ireland. Yeah, I’m very much at the start of “silly season” when it comes to racing.
My weekend in Ireland was good fun with two fun races. Saturday brought the Galway Classic, a race that had just as much off-roading as it did on-roading. While raced on road bikes, it was certainly interesting. I finished 8th, which was a good showing. Sunday brought another race day on a fast and flat circuit, and a fourth place for me.
This week I’ll be racing the CiCle Classic, the UK’s premier one-day event. It’s, again, just as much on-road as off-road. I’ll cross my fingers that the puncture gods are on my side!
Happy pedalling,
Joe

The worst bike EVER?!
Big promises in the cycling industry have to be met with results, and for the Superstrata Classic, we’re afraid it was anything but. The bike was made by Arevo, a 3D printing expert. The issue? They made an extremely bad bike.

Tubeless tyre technology
The entire cycling world is moving to tubeless, and it is well worth it. I was a sceptic for years, but have finally come on board. It’s not always easy though and there are plenty of new skills to pick up on the move to new rubber.
This article talks about five things you’ll learn when changing to tubeless.
