It was the week of photo-finishes in pro-cycling. Firstly, Demi Vollering celebrated thinking she had won the Brabantse Pijl title. All camera angles pointed her way too, until the official photo-finish meant the title was handed to the American, Ruth Winder. Then, on Sunday, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock crossed the line in unison at the Amstel Gold Race. The winner wasn’t officially announced until almost 10 minutes later, with van Aert taking it by a whisker.
