Good day,

Welcome to this week’s newsletter from my apartment here in Girona. I share my place with three other cyclists and it is currently carnage in here. My old BMC is in bits on the floor next to me ready to get shipped back to the team, another housemate has their brand new Enve bike leant against the chair here and another keeps walking out of his room trying on every item of new kit he has been given.

I’m on rest week currently, and it’s bliss. Today is my final ride until the weekend. We left at midday, in the direction of Platja d’Aro for the classic “Cake Shop” ride. A beautiful afternoon, all was going well until I remembered I had to get home for a meeting. Fifty minutes at 285w later, I was back. Not the reco ride I had in mind!
