š Stage 75: A Historic Day for Women's Cycling
how to ride slow and to cross UK on a fold-up bike
This weekās newsletter features everything from the Tour de France, with the menās edition wrapping up, and the womenās edition just getting started. We also feature some crazy bike-adventuring and how to be more sustainable through cycling. Enjoy!
Hello!
This weekās newsletter is coming at you from a hotel room in the Alsace region of France. Iām here to race the Tour of Alsace, tonight we get underway with a brutally short 4.2 km team time trial through the streets of a local town.
This race is a bit crazy. Across five days of racing, we race across all terrains, and tackle the Super Blanche des Belles Filles which is proving quite popular in recent bike races!
Iām looking forward to getting racing again, although sitting in a hotel room all day just waiting to do a 5-minute maximum effort at 7 pm tonight isnāt too fun.
Happy Pedalling,
Joe

How to do a recovery ride
Recovery rides are simple, right? Head to the local coffee shop, and ensure that the time sitting in the cafe is at least double the time you spend pedalling, easy. Well, not exactly. Most amateurs neglect to take proper recovery rides, thinking that they can push on more than they should.
